TAMIR is an actress, poet and playwright, author and performer of five one-woman shows “In the Land of Israel” and “I Belong Elsewhere.” Her CD and solo performance of devotional readings “Poetry on Prayer” is an interfaith celebration of the human spirit. “The Way of the Heart” ecstatic poetry and Sufi teaching stories of Rumi with music, dance and whirling. Her new one-woman play “Now” is about suicide awareness and healing through Shakesppeare and faith. Some of her roles are: Maria Callas, Medea, Bernarda Alba and Leah in the “Dybbuk.” Her new play “The Embrace” for four women is about dying consciously and the struggle of a daughter to let her mother go. It highlights NDE – Near death Experiences and the huge impact it has to change fixed ideas and embrace a meta reality.
